Food Safety Services was already in place when I came last year. I have continued with the program as it works so well. Nothing is more important than food safety for the children – their sanitation, monitoring and training are amazing. English is a second language for many of my staff members. We have found our employees come with different levels of food safety knowledge when they start. Tricia and her team work hard to help everyone grow their knowledge and confidence while training them consistently for our mission to feed kids safely. They also keep me abreast of new procedures coming down the pike and bring my attention to things that are important in my district. I know that I’m not alone in my belief that we must serve trust as we serve the meals – and that’s such a relief.
